Life Doesn't Come With A Manual (or a GPS device)!

Why doesn't life come with a manual or a GPS device to help you find direction?? Are you feeling frustrated because a new year is coming and you know you aren't satisfied or happy with where you are? You may be watching friends or colleagues achieving their goals personally or professionally, but you still feel like you're struggling...

The truth is, you already have exactly what you need, but you just don't know how to access it. It's your inner voice. Not the "committe" that's always feeding your ego with negative chatter and self-doubt. But your own true inner voice, your intuition, your gut instinct. It's always there, but are you listening??

Sometimes it's hard to access your true self because life can get messy and it's easy to get distracted. This time of year is often when we take some time to re-evaluate our lives. We want to make changes. We want to feel better and less stressed out.  We want to improve the quality of our lives.

The first step to achieving balance and inner peace, as well as making life changing decisions, is to support your physical health. If your body isn't healthy, your mind won't be either. It is very difficult (if not impossible), to connect to your inner self and be truly mindful, if your physical body is not well. Now is the time to start making sure you are eating a healthy, balanced diet and getting some form of daily exercise. Now is the time to make sure you are drinking enough water. Now is the time to make sure you are getting enough rest. Start the new year making sure that you are taking good care of your physical body to ensure that you will have what it takes to be mentally strong.

Practice being mindful instead of mindfull...When you are mindful, you can allow yourself to be guided. You can become your own GPS device! You can start to listen (and hear) that inner voice inside of you. You can set realistic goals for yourself that you can actually achieve. Take time to breathe. Really. Most people are barely breathing and taking shallow breaths throughout the day. Take time every day, even just 5 minutes, to truly be mindful and still.

The new year is coming. Anything is possible. Do more of what makes you happy. Spend some time alone being still. Take your shoes off and find a place to put your feet on the ground. Ground yourself (literally) and reconnect to the earth. It will energize you.

My wish for all of you is to be healthy, happy and at peace for the new year and all the years to come!

This is your life. LIVE IT!

Until next time,

Tracy
